Distribution Line
Earthing Equipment
This range of equipment provides portable earthing
on 3-phase high voltage overhead lines up to 66kV. It has been designed
to provide safe and secure clamping upon distribution lines during maintenance
or erection.
Equipment
LINE END CLAMPS
Two types of clamps are available either clip-on or screw action and should
be selected according to the distribution voltage. Clamps are manufactured
from lightweight alloy and should be applied by means of an operating
socket/pole head attached to an insulated operating pole.
EARTH END CLAMPS AND EARTH RODS
Clamps are lightweight and suitable for hand application to copper clad
steel earth rod. Alternatively a block type connector can be supplied
with the earth rod.
OPERATING SOCKETS/POLE HEADS
These are manufactured from lightweight alloy and support the Line End
clamp(s) during fitting or removal from the conductors.
EARTH LEADS
Flexible aluminium earth leads with approved compression terminations
and support sleeves. Available as either 50, 70, 95, 120 or 150 sq.mm
with clear or 'arctic' orange pvc outer sheath.
CLUSTER BARS/TERMINAL PLATES
Available to provide suitable support/junction between Line End leads
and downlead.
CARRYING BAGS
Manufactured from fabric reinforced pvc to provide suitable protection
for equipment on site or in transit.
KITS
P&B Weir Electrical will assemble all equipment to suit your specific
requirements.
TREE PRUNING EQUIPMENT
A Pruning Head and Pruning Saw are available for fitting onto standard
operating poles.
FUSE EXTRACTOR HEADS
Manufactured from lightweight alloy and available for removal of most
common types of fuses.
